Portrait Commission In Progress!

So happy to have the opportunity to create this girl (and her soon-to-be foal) in model form!

New Tack Incoming! (For the new herd member)

Image
New tack incoming for my latest custom! (Including my first try at 1/4 sheets and polos! Spoiler: I didn't use vet wrap.)

In All Her Glory

Image
Meet Robin! My first resculpt (mane, braids / bows, tail, body / clip) is completed! This girl has so many great details (like the mapping and pink tones where she's shaved) and I just love her *so* much. She'll be getting lots of performance use, ideally. My fave part is the black wispies in her tail, which of course are on her non-show side. 🤦🏼‍♀️😛

WIP Update! (Argentinian Draft)

Image
3 days to get her show-ready - Tail, hooves, finishing mane, re-doing her mapping, tail bow, and all the varnishing.... Wish me luck. 🫡

Accessible Fasteners - Testing!

Image
My fastener-less travel boots, designed for those who struggle with motor skills, work! Instead of fiddling with miniature fasteners, you can simply bend these around the leg and into place. They'll stay put, just like that! As these are a bit long, they'll become the "back legs" for my set of 4, and I'll remake a set for the front legs. (This prototype set will be staying with me, for my current WIP custom.)

Accessible Fasteners in Miniature Hobbies

Image
One goal that's always the same when I make tack is this: How can I make that secure without fasteners? I know so many people who don't have the dexterity and / or grip strength for miniature fasteners to be usable, and I want my items to be as inclusive as possible. Long on my list have been boots - elastic would work, but then you still need the motor control to get a tiny hoof into a tiny hole.... I'm feeling very optimistic about this next try! Having wire built in *should* allow for boots to just be "bent shut" and the felt should have enough grip to prevent sliding.... We'll see! 🤞🏻 Pictured is the start of transport boots, and a quarter sheet.

Manchado (NaMoPaiMoFail)

Image
My #NaMoPaiMoFail has deserted its roots, and is transforming into an Argentinian draft in a fun manchado pattern. I have no idea how this happened, but I have to say she's rather fabulous.

Arabian Regalia (Again)

Re-do of my Arabian Regalia on Johar (Mischeif Managed). It really suits her I think!
